Sharia financial industry development has reached significant progress. The development requires an accounting system that accommodates unique characteristics of sharia financial institutions. Sharia entities such as Zakat, Infaq and Alms (ZIS) institutions as well as endowments and Islamic financial institutions are required to be able to account properly and transparently for the mandate entrusted by the people. But on the other hand Master of Accounting Study Programs that open the concentration of Islamic Accounting are still rare. Answering the need for professional and competent sharia accounting graduates in the Fiqh and Muamalah Accounting fields, the Master of Accounting Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada open a Sharia Accounting Concentration.

The Sharia Accounting Faction UGM FEB UGM is developed to deliver graduates who are able to meet the qualifications to obtain the Sharia Accountant Certification (SAS) issued by IAI.
